That's our _less. Thinks he has a clever comeback, but in the real world it is just sort of stupid.

Arguing over semantics, false equivalences and his favorite, the straw man argument. Often couched in long rambling sentences loaded with words he apparently doesn't know what they mean but he thinks look good on a page...

By the way, isn't it like sex ed where you claim they are going to be engaging in lascivious behavior anyway so let's give them pills and condoms for their personal protection?

>>Yeah...there you go. With one you don't get pregnant, with the other someone shoots you dead either in anger or a stupor of alcohol or drugs, or friendly fire...you name it...but...same thing...in your mind again.

You ignored the premise. People are already having lascivious sex, so people should be allowed carry birth control protection. People are already packing heat, so people should be allowed to carry protection. It amazes me how you partisans slip and slide to amend your ethical stands as dictated by the politics of a given day.

Anyway you got that wrong...Hypothetically, with one I don't get pregnant because I have protection... with the other one someone does NOT shoot attack/assault/kill me because I have protection... without which some one could easily become a victim of what you suggested.

Me?

That's Hypothetical since in my world (core family) we don't get pregnant because we don't engage in casual sex with people we aren't married to. We didn't by into the Sex Ed scam of sanctioning teen lasciviousness. Of course anyone could become a victim of rape but we try to minimize that potential via life style choices, and birth control wouldn't be likely to change that anyway. We don't get shot for similar reasons. Of course anyone could become a victim of murder but again, less likely with good life style choices and if someone is set on murdering you there isn't much hope for you armed or not.
