I don't see this exchange as a political post as much as a commentary on how Apple fits into the political world and the American economy.
I agree and believe this commentary falls in with this line in the rules:

If a political issue affects Apple as a company more than it would most companies, it's fair game for discussion here.

Hopefully we can all keep this discussion clean and not fall off into partisan craziness.

Will be an interesting speak tonight and I'm certain it will generate lots of activity on the Political thread.

Looking forward to the day when every move Apple makes isn't the topic of every news program on the planet.

Sure like the days when Apple was this small misunderstood beleaguered company!
