Um, wait, please. Not sure how you were nominated, went through the primaries, ran against another candidate, won the Electoral Collage. Nothing against you Clean... But shouldn't there be some sort of feedback from the thread? I'll be very honest; I think your moderation is a little heavy handed on the ban button. We seriously need a significant counter argument on this thread, especially at this point in time. It feels uncomfortable to see your name as the moderator of this thread, so soon, without discussion.

Sorry if some things I say here are not appropriate, but as we all know, sometimes these things present differently in text than what is in heart and mind, so here goes. Okay I've been asked to say a few words about Allen, who I imagine is having a great time chatting it up with Steve and the big guy (I know, I know, some of you think I'm being redundant here) and being with the big guy, I'm sure Allen knows what we're doing on this board - so let's all be good for goodness sake unless you like lumps of coal in your coffee - he seemed so connected to it. Connected to this board that is. I am almost expecting a pvt message from him any minute now in fact. So - he did a really great job moderating this board, and many feel he made it what it is today - popular with mostly well reasoned discussions, one of the best sources for information and learning about Apple and investing on the web with the atmosphere, okay okay the "karma" in balance. - discussion and good feeling promoted, slugfests and inappropriate behavior discouraged. He did an even better job than my kindergarden teacher. For some my statement here has some controversy since he really encouraged and made me feel comfortable to post my humor both on topic and off topic :-). I must say for many reasons Allen was an inspiration for my posts in more ways than may be apparent - actually for only my posts that you liked, the other ones you didn't like were inspired by my turtle, blame him, he bites. For karma or vibes - this guy Allen had it. I met him once a while ago and he was as people describe him - full of humor and spirit. When he told me about some of the stuff he goes through I hardly believed him, why is this guy so good spirited? Even though his body was wracked with cancer and gosh knows what else going on - the pain he must have been having with his treatments would make many of us into kvetchy grumpy curmudgeons - well, worse than we are already - yet he kept his spirits and humor going, posting and moderating as fairly as possible. Don't believe what I say about him? Read his blog AND the archives - they are fantastic! allenmurdock.com (J.F. Sebastian posted the link previously - but really read it through, it's great) I think he was posting and moderating even when he was in the hospital, although I suppose beside his spirit, the nurse with the broad shoulders and very red lipstick and very long legs and even shorter tight skirt and curvy hips and Russian accent (don't blame me, that's how he described it and how my imagination stored it in my brain) - well I'm sure she helped a lot there too as he lay there in pain while being she poked him all over with her gigantic needle that she wielded he asked her to say "where is moose and squirrel?" even though she was throughly puzzled why this poor guy would make such a request of her (hint: Natasha Fatale...) (hint2 : a Russian woman saying "ver iz moose and squirrel" is very very funny to R&B fans). I heard she did comply and the poor nurse was about to call "the team" in because Allen went into convulsions, but he managed to tell her to cancel, that he was only laughing. One thing that amazed me was that he had a pretty bad form of cancer and when I first heard about it, well you know, I figured a couple more months. But he kept going on. And on. And on. Months turned into years. His blog shows him whimsically dressed like Clark Kent and Superman, and I think it was quite appropriate and even believable to some extent :-) I'm not privy to this sort of thing, but I would bet that his doctors were amazed also. One thing I have heard from many reliable sources is that patients with more spirit or optimism have longer survival rates, so as his treatments helped him, his spirit most certainly helped him equally. Plus there was that nurse... But really, here is a case where the effect is readily apparent, and he should be a lesson to all of us. Life is too short. Enjoy it, even the bad parts. Find ways to reduce stress and negativity. Our experience - it's all part of the same thing, it's all we have. It's all we have, period. Even if you believe in an afterlife or reincarnation or some such, hey this amusement ride is sure to be unique. Appreciate that we are allowed to have it. There are no refunds. No charge for the advice here either. Now back to the nurse (okay I'll stay away from her) and Moose and Squirrel (Rocky and Bullwinkle), which is also my favorite. Well a picture is worth a thousand words, and unfortunately (or fortunately, I don't have to look it up :-)), someone beat me to the punch with a really appropriate picture for Allen. Someone who was banned from this thread, but still moved by Allen and so he cared enough about him to post something fitting, that's the kind og guy Allen was. Oh wait - you really didn't want me to post about Allen, just missed my yoga pictures that I occasionally inappropriately yet appropriately post here? Okay okay... Besides I'm sure Allen is doing this where he is now.
