Yes, that is correct. Someone I know someone who verified it. Of course you can still crank up the bus speed. Apparently Intel is so good at yielding high speed grades that they can down bin them by bonding pins long before the stage when they actually test the chip. Apparently if one buys a P-166MMX there is a good chance its really a 233. At 2.5 x 83 = 208 it will be faster than a 233 at 3.5 x 66.
I can only dream about the M2 and good process technology.
AMD's process technology, on the other hand, is so sad it's resorting to 3.3v K6's to get yields up. I still give Jerry Sanders credit for landing all those Tier ones. Whether or not he can deliver chips is another story.
