I thought John Turturro as the peacock bowler was the funny one.

But I agree Donnie was a quiet star.

Right now my daughter is reading the Freddy the Pig series with her 6 year old daughter. She likes Stewart Little so I figure they are both functioning at the same level. Every person should consider reading that series to their kids. They are fun books with a good moral tone. Horace the horse, Simon the rat-lol. And they can talk.

My kids are a weird couple: Noam Chomsky hard core liberals and straight as an arrow.

Liberal goody two shoes Ozzie and Harriets. God only knows where that came from. They were raised in the midst of the 60's communist existential environment. There were always a bunch of stoners and crazy people around them. Few rules and little structure; and out pops little miss goody two shoes. Homework always done, room neat and clean. Never even close to any trouble. Honor student and UC Berkeley and Loyola law for one and the other is a scientist.

Both kids were highly loved by all our friends (not us-lol) and encouraged to debate the issues of the day from an early age and they were pretty much only exposed to liberals. My guess is that is where they got their edge in life. They didn't have to deal with any RWers.

Both have happy lives and families today and are good citizens.

My ex who is a hard core dem once had our daughter say to her: "But mom, all my friends are Republican's, she said: "well you will just have to get new friends". lol
