Travis, I have worked in a hospice, and have a five year certificate of thanks, to prove it. There are rules. There are laws. Drugs are not candy that can be consumed as needed or desired. People die in pain no matter where they end up. I'm not speaking against Hospices; the staffs are generally very concerned with patient pain, but they are generally forced to operate behind the pain curve. Alleviating some types of pain would require lethal doses. Dying ain't gonna be easy for any of us. Our society just makes it that much worse.
