and even more interesting is we ran a small surplus in January with more money taken in than spent. Of course, many are prepaying taxes for profits taken in 2012 to avoid the 2013 tax on the wealthy... so I and everyone else expects more deficits for a total of just under $0.9T in 2013 after $1.1T in 2012
