How friggin sad that the mad killer was "let to die." Saved a lot of money in bullshit defense that would have been paid for by the tax payer.

I hope his last 15 minutes of fame was the most painful and terrifying imaginable.

As someone who actually listened to the police scanner and watched/listened on TV (channels 2 & 5), I can confirm what you posted as being true. Over on the BuSab thread, two of us were posting what we heard live as it was said. Smoothsail even asked what "burners" were. So it's true that they were going to let it burn. However, part of it was clearly due to the live ammo that was going off. And there is no question that it was true. You could hear it.

And he wasn't executed. When the "burners" (tear gas) was deployed, there was a single gunshot heard from inside the cabin. He killed himself.

There was no other possible outcome for this. Dorner wasn't a hero. He wasn't going to be taken alive. In his manifesto, he made it very clear that he was going to die. What we saw was a slow motion suicide that took a week to finally take effect.

maybe you should have gone there and walked up to the cabin and asked him to surrender nicely. I see you don't care that more cops would have been shot if they hadn't burned him out.

would you have walked up to the cabin to talk to him ? would you have let your son do it?
