Just four big-ass guys knocking out cold a fellow student, stealing his credit card, and then using it on a vending machine inside a dorm where only students have access. Gee, like who is going to notice? The bigger picture is that it shows these guys must have come from an environment where this was commonplace, nobody dared complain, and they easily got away with it. That's sad.
