Some of the comments point out that wage inflation is necessary driving prices higher
in a growing economy, this is true. but not in a shrinking economy.

QE to infinity around the world is causing price increases in most everything except wages as the working person gets screwed. Jim Sinclair and others have been calling this "cost-push inflation".
