Could you actually share the flaws that you have found? For a few years now I have had an ongoing bet with a friend about iOS vs. Android market share. So, we were each tracking numbers as part of the bet. Through this, we noticed many of the numbers projected by IDC and others were no where near the actual numbers posted by, for example, Apple vs. Google actual reported sales numbers for iOS and Android. There was no back checking of the IDC projections. More recently I have noticed others blogs posting similar observations about the flawed IDC data. My point simply is that you have to view their data with a healthy dose of skepticism.
