A watch phone could use pretty tiny vibrations to alert you.

If you asked me off the bat whether I'm inclined to get an iWatch (assuming one is in the works), the answer would be no. But knowing Apple, I'm compelled to wait and see what the unique selling proposition is before deciding one way or the other. The big negative I perceive with a watch is that its look may or may not be suitable, depending on the context. For example, I don't know if my wife would wear one with an evening dress. Unlike a cell phone which you can tuck away, a watch, like a pair of sneakers, is there for all to see. That said, if anyone can make an electronic device look like an expensive piece of jewelry, it would be Apple.
