S&P UPGRADES OPINION ON SHARES OF WESTERN UNION TO BUY FROM HOLD, ON VALUATION
(S&P Capital IQ)

We are raising our 12-month target price to $17 from $14, reflecting our new estimates, revised relative analysis and DCF considerations. We are setting EPS estimates for '13 of $1.37 and '14 of $1.52. WU posts Q4 EPS of $0.40, vs. $0.43, $0.10 above our forecast. WU faces challenges and is making significant investments. While we are not convinced that new strategies will fully address competitive concerns, we see mid-single-digit revenue growth for '13 and '14, notable free cash flow generation, and a strong shareholder orientation. WU has an indicated yield of 3.5%.
