I'd quit in a second.

The fact that someone would think this is OK is mindboggling but indicative of the state of the Obama left these days. Sadly, looks like a whole generation is now buying into it.

80% salary and free healthcare for the unemployed, how many people do you really think would be motivated to work all week for that extra 20%?

It ain't forever.

It just gives people more time and the ability for one job loss not to set one's life back decades. In a bad economy, you can fall back several rungs that you may never retain because you have to desperately take whatever's available. Granted, that's great for employers, but it ruins employees' lives.

>Seriously, I don't see anyway to begin to counter your position. I think the vast majority of Americans would quit work today if you offered them 80% of their salary and free health care. You don't see a problem with that?

If you quit, I'm pretty sure you get nothing. At least in America you have to actively be let go.

We're already at 2 or 3 workers to one on paying for the current social security recipients.

It sounds like a bad situation, but it's been adequately planned for. We'll get through the baby boom generation and we'll be fine.

>I talked to a man from communist Romania many years ago. They had no unemployment. If you were walking on the sidewalk at 10am, you were guaranteed to be stopped and questioned. If you didn't have a job, they would find you one.

So which part of that do you dislike? Not helping at all? Making you have a job? I feel like there's a disconnect there.

Unbelievable

No wage earner would.

This is just how ridiculous leftists are. This proposition is just dumb.
