AAC....Don't take it personally. If you read back the past 100 or so messages, we have a few people losing it....talking riddles, roaring, predicting gloom and doom, writing backwards..so forgive us if we are a little paranoid. On any given day when the stock is heading up, we are very rational, making plans, etc. guess you caught us at a bad moment. Let me introduce myself and say hello. Irvinesully at your service. AAC, Nothing better to do at midnight on a quiet thread than flog a dead horse. I think you have the diagnosis of paranoia misplaced--your rather strident response to a simple, non-threatening querry seemed to me to be unwarranted. Just in case you did happen to be someone I knew, I very carefully refrained from insulting you. You have never asked me any TA questions--and I have never turned down any request for TA. You failed to address the main question I had--why the Cadillac and Ferarri ads--was this for real or just some kind of put-on or private joke?--more curiosity on my part than anything else. Just re-read your reply again, and perhaps those ads were meant for your students "to pique their interest" etc? If so , it wasn't too clearly stated. As far as freaking out, re-read your own post to Jeffery--I would say that really qualifies as "freaking out"--I know if I had authored it I would be embarrassed by it after I had cooled down.
