I have noticed that when you use the navigation tools of the browser to go back to the old version of the bookmark page then the link will go to the correct unread post even if you alreay read a later post in the same thread.

I see your point. I adjusted the logic, so that the unread messages will not be updated if you are reading your own message (and you haven't read the ones before it yet).

Let me know if that does the trick.
