Good question. My guess is they are throwing a lot of resources into mapping... after Cook felt he had to apologize. The next update to maps I'll bet will be major, and probably include the C3 capabilities.

Isn't C3's technology what powers the 3D maps in Apple Maps now (such as they are)? Apple calls them Flyover or whatever.
