If it is true about her suspect character, she could just being digging into the rubbish heap that is our political/economic system in hopes that if she digs deep enough that someone will offer her a golden position amongst the elite criminals. It seems a bit far fetched and I hope that it is not the case, but I can't helping thinking of Greenspan's about face when he went from writing about the advantages and even necessity of asset backed currencies to being the champion of fiat.
