Good point. The one month waiting period is over but not by much.

I'm wondering if this is the scenario:

Institutions and individuals sold because of tax considerations.
This created a domino effect.
Now they are waiting to see how far this domino effect will take Apple.
There is no rush for them as they evaluate other investments now that they are out of Apple.

That leaves the questions

"Are there better investments for them?"

"Will Apples coming announcements entice them back?"

I'm wondering myself if thinking they are coming back is wishful thinking.

Seems that there are still more funds selling based on todays action unless this down trend is just the result of the Options and some psychology around the $460 price point.

Also isn't the 1 month waiting period only for tax loss selling not for profit taking to sell at a lower tax rate?

Heard a news flash that there was an email between 2 Walmart Employees talking about poor sales that is sparking the down trend in the market the last couple of hours.

Guess people are edgy going into the long weekend.

As always most of this post is educated conjecture, speculation or just an outright guess.
