The only reason ROK had to rush their chips out was because while they were working out agreements with Lucent on standards USRX thought they could get the upper hand by rushing out their x2. It now appears that everyone will pay except C$CO. If USRX would have just agreed to some standards with ROK everybody would be selling plenty of modems.

But USRX just couldn't leave well enough alone...
