Anyway you look at it, it is government controlling who can and cannot own guns, a huge stripping away of protections under the 2nd Amendment. This is the problem with Republicans. They're as much fucking idiots as the Democrats sometimes. Hatch and McConnell are, of course correct -- while the law as envisioned by these Republican lunatics may not create a registry, it is a matter of time. You cannot give Democrats a foot in the door like this (just as Bush did with Medicare Part D, which was destroyed by the Democrats within a few short years).
