Well, I think it does, except that now that most of the fish are fished out of the sea, and the really big animals like elephants are being decimated, and the weight of the rainforests, which are being cleared for crops by burning, are added into the equation, it all probably evens out!! Oh, and I forgot about erosion, which is causing most of our soil to blow to the four winds! The artist whose name you are trying to spell is Shawn Colvin, I think. There are a lot of girl singers right now who are doing very well. Rock and roll is essentially very macho, and now that there are not, in my opinion, as many very good happening rock and roll bands, it gave more of an opportunity to the girls for exposure. They are also very well organized, touring in groups and supporting each other. In the sixties there were lots of girl singers and girl bands, also, part of the whole ebb and flow of the music scene. JP is very welcome here, but seems to be having a lot of fun on other threads, and should feel free to choose where she hangs out. Although it is regrettable, because of the Big Fight at Feelings several months ago, some people feel they need to choose one clique or another (although this is NOT a clique), which I find sad and limiting, but which I can also understand. Perhaps she'll be back, but she has my best wishes in any event!!!
