Hi longnshort; Re Hitler and socialism. Jesus weeps, the guy didn't just "admit" he was a socialist, he bragged about it. This really shouldn't be a debating topic. I wonder how many libs have read Mein Kampf. The difference between the Communists and the Nazis is that the commies believe(d) in an "international" version of socialism, the Nazis were "national" socialists, hence the name "National Socialism", or the full name in German: "Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei" The whole thing was a lot more attractive to the average leftist German than a lot of people will admit. It's always useful to look at their campaign promises: 13) We demand the nationalisation of all (previous) associated industries ( trusts). 14) We demand a division of profits of all heavy industries. 15) We demand an expansion on a large scale of old age welfare. 18) We demand struggle without consideration against those whose activity is injurious to the general interest.
