Jerry & Gerald: Thanks for the clarifications.... Now, back to our friend Vinod: Questions?? 1) When were you last in the States? 2) Where did you get your Ford/MCI NT information from? I just received this e-mail this morning which is another man's version - inside MCI. Perhaps Vinod you should get back south of the board a little more often than once every 3 years.... ======================================== Subj: nt comment Date: 97-12-03 23:27:51 EST From: Mark.Emery@MCI.Com (Mark Emery) To: Ida5683@AOL.COM Fred, MCI is not, has not, and will not convert to all NT. Period. Our NDS environment is growing, and NDS for NT is going to be very, very big here. And yes, I am in a position to know this. Also, and I can check on it, but Ford has the largest Netware/IP deployment in the world. Most of the work was just completed withing the last year or two, and I have my doubts that they have walked away from it. I'd post this, but I'm not allowed to. I need to get a "private" email account set up, I think. A last note - Worldcom is all NDS, Groupwise and Managewise. Regards, Mark ============================================= Once last note Vinod. That last line sounds really good to me: "Worldcom is all NDS, Groupwise and Managewise." Should we get Bernie to verify this?? Can anyone down in Jackson confirm this?? If you don't have an SI account, please write to me. I'd love to hear from Bernie himself. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if I do - the guy breaks ALL conventions. Over time, the Novell-bashing on this thread is going to fade away like dew drops after a sunrise. I think Novell's story is going to be one big blockbuster. The Networking world needs NDS now, not later; BoarderManager, now not later; Managewise, now not later; a Java-on-the-server application/tool package, now not later. I think its only a matter of time before we start to get some very positive press on all the many things coming together for Novell in '98 and beyond. Novell is turning around. Salah, I would appreciate it if you could take off your green eyeshades for a while, look beyond the sting of '97 channel stuffing and comment on the potential of Novell's technology. Joe, are you with me? As for Vinod...NT on a "rampage"??? MCI/FORD converting to 100% NT??? I'm surprise that a fellow shareholder would try to spread lies or information that's not accurate. As for Moab and the Remote Access piece: Why aren't you the one clarifying the errors of "PCWeak"? If you're going to keep up this trading, slamming, flim-flamming game of yours you better have your facts right. Respectfully, A Fellow Long
