John, what I haven't heard for a couple of years anyhow is the
good old "adjusted for inflation" maxim. Food alone has probably doubled
in the past 4 years, gas also, although that's a estimate.

Companies also quit paying taxes, so many factors are increasingly
making pricing impossible IMO.

Hey John: Yes, gasoline is on a tear hear. So are basic food prices. In about four months time. A loaf of Italian bread I usually buy at 1.99 is now 2.62. Milk was 2.25, now 3.45.
