"He didn't play until July last year while recovering from a torn left Achilles tendon sustained in the Phillies' final game of the 2011 playoffs. Howard has started all six of Philadelphia's exhibition games this year and is 8 for 15 (.533) with three doubles and a homer." best news yet. Other notes; Glavis is hitting well playing SS(his best position:GradeA+SS defensively). He can rest both Utley and Rollins during season. Revere is proving thus far First Rate hitter and fielder. Asche and joseph are showing they very likely be solid Major Leaguers at 3rd and Catcher, so Phils look good for 3rd base and Catcher into the future.
Ruf is thus far playing a decent space but no lightning yet.
Franksen is a problem he continues to hit, but i have painful memories of how many runs he let i with glove.
3rd base rightfully belongs to Young and Asche our future 3rd basemen. Can Franksen play LF, if needed? Have my doubts. But think Phils keep on roster.
At this point our Minor League system seems to have a Catcher/2ndBasemen(Hernandez)/SS(Glavis)(FirstBase--Ruf or Joseph) 3rdbase(Asche) RF and LF now up to Mayberry/Brown/Nix and Ruf--nothing seems to be in minors.

Domonic Brown by all reports has never looked better at bat(Charlie sees a wiser smarter hitter: his power is not a question with 2 gigantic HRs already. He is now 25, he did NOT play baseball until age 17! Just maybe the raw talent is aging properly---if Brown at strartedd Baseball in LL at 9, maybe things would have been different
We will see /Pabelbon getting pounded, but he feels good--this is how he uses spring training, he says
Aumont looking good. No bad alarm bells about starters YET! nor with Mike Adams--Bastardo:he must demonstrate he can keep from having "i can't find the plate" attacks.

Would love to see Halladay start clocking in some 94mph fast balls.

Knock on wood, but Domonic Brown is having terrific spring training along with Howad--Domonic leads team with 6 hrs / Howard has 5. Kendrick got it together today 2 hits no walks, one run in 6 innings.Mike Adams has done well. He i feel will be the set-up reliver, as Phils hoped. Rest relievers, i think it will be Bastardo and then??? Valdez? Diekman?--has been doing well, he recovered from injury much faster than expected and you just throw in Stutes Durbin DeFratus and Cloyd as swing pitcher. LF is up in air, Nix/Ruf/Mayberry((i doubt they send Ruf down. They have to throw in fire now==he lost those 4 years being just a pitcher--he's what now/26)
Galvis stays/ Franksen just keeps hitting/ he stays/Betancourt????? Michael Young feels real good about his reflexes at fielding 3rd , that expression of confidence be good--because is an excellent fielding history.Kratz will make team.
