I can easily imagine a day where we are down $100 intraday and the gold bull is declared dead by the majority. That is the kind of action it's probably going to take to flush the weak hands and get the reversal necessary to challenge the shorts.

CNBC... I recall this post from the depths of the sell-off after the Nasdaq bubble burst, and the ONLY time I recall a comment here on SI referencing a recommendation to "get short" coming from CNBC, and it was said just a few hours before a multi-year low in the S&P. Their labeling the start of a 20-year bear for gold is indeed good news, as they are just doing their bit for their handlers to shake out the remaining weak hands.
