There is one main reason for the drop I could think of - dilution.
Maybe they want to start something new and need money for it.
But I can't imagine that they plan their own production facility ( would cost several hundred million dollars). Possibly they want to assemble their own cards.
Or maybe the xmas selling is not as good as expected?
I don't have the feeling the stock is too much overvalued. A PE of 30-40 for next year is quite normal for this sector.
But most probably it is a technical downturn after reaching some stop orders.

>>>I have noticed several people mentioning Voodoo 2 sales for this Xmas. Am I missing something? I was under the impression that Voodoo 2 won't be out till late first quarter 98. Has there been a press release that I missed? The original Voodoo cards will continue to sell well I think. The price on them is becoming too hard to resist.<<<

How much is a Voodoo 1 card going for these days? $179?
CREAF was rumoured to be going to sell the Voodoo II for $249.00
Since you need a 2D and most cards are 2D/3D anyways I think most
will wait for the latest and better Voodoo II. The Voodoo II also fixes some harware flaw in the Voodoo I.
