General Stuff,

Out of the hundreds of Zip drives we've sold we finally had
a failure.
Not having any previous contact with IOM's contracted service this was the opportunity to evaluate what was stated to be a main concern of K. E. .

I found the handling of my incident to be impeccable .

There was a fast determination of the issue that followed with an
accepted offer of what's known in the trade as a cross ship.
A cross ship is when a manufacture ships out a replacement drive before they receive the defective one. This is real important in that the customer can receive their replacement drive with a minimal delay.

Thanks Iomega !
Makes my job easer.

ps. western digital, maxtor, and fujitsu cross ship don't know about quantum but won't sell seagate it just takes too long to get a broken drive replaced.

RE: Jokes **OFF TOPIC**

Here's a slightly different twist to an old joke:

This guy was walking along a California beach when he kicked a bottle poking up through the sand. Opening it, he was astonished to see a cloud of smoke and a genie smiling at him.

"For your kindness," the genie said, "I will grant you one wish!" The man paused, then replied, "I have always wanted a road from California to Hawaii! I wish for a road to be built from San Francisco to Hawaii."

The genie grimaced, thought about it and said, "Listen, I'm sorry, but I can't do that. Think of all the pilings needed to hold up the highway and how long they'd have to be to reach the bottom of the ocean. Think of all the pavement. Sorry, but that's too much to ask."

Not wanting to be unreasonable, the man says, "OK, I'd just like to see Gary and FIDO get along."

The genie paused, and then sighed. "Did you want two lanes or four?"

Allen: If I were asked to guess which member of this thread would post something ribald enough to make ME blush, you would have been last on the list <GGG> You're so serious and technical.

Great joke.
