If their number exceeds the ones who still have it as a buy then it is time for small investors to start buying, because the very same con-artists (i.e. analysts) who have it as a hold/sell are buying it! IMO, one is better off doing his own research and justifying the purchase of a stock on the basis of his findings. Simply running counter to what the analysts say is futile. So, what if they are (apparently) buying now. They could be wrong too! If you buy just because you think they are buying, you might very well get impaled... again! :-)
