<Personally, I would not mind in the least if I had to meet a private buyer at a FFL dealer in order to make a sale> But since nobody knows you even have a gun, and there is no requirement for you to record a sale, you can buy as many guns as you like and sell them to every criminal in town -- at a slight profit of course. Why do you register your car? O, let me guess - you don't think cats should be registered -- and naturally drivers should not need to have a license either.
