To all, Check out LHSPF's deal with SGS-Thomson announced today. Similar in many respects to fonix's deal with Siemens, but the differences are crucial - there is much more detail provided, it uses a product with already proven capabilities, and time to market will be much quicker. Perhaps this is one reason the fonix-Siemens announcement didn't produce a bigger response, and the stock has actually declined since, if smart money knew this deal was in the works. Right now, it looks to me like the Siemens deal is a non-event unless they can a)get to market very quickly or with a b)vastly superior or c)cheaper product. I personally think a) is unlikely, c) is undesirable if you're a fonix shareholder ever expecting great EPS considering how many shares are outstanding, leaving b) as the only thing worth hoping for.
