Eleleth, Regarding the MF poster's statement that.... "Further, their new switch DOES NOT support frames bigger than 512 bytes payload... FC standard calls for 2K byte payload.... this alone has caused at least half a dozen of OEMs to not even evaluate the MKII according to some people in the know." According to the spec sheet on Ancor's web site at: ancor.com the 512 byte frame size limitation is simply not true. If you go to this page and scroll down to 'Maximum Frame Size' you'll see that the switch supports a 2148 byte frame size. This is not to say that the folks at Ancor weren't either confused/dishonest/'bad typists' and should have shown only 512 bytes, but somehow I doubt that this is the case. Regards...Craig

This is the first time I ever heard of another thread other the Motley Fool and here. Why this person doesn't post here and the regular Motley Fool thread is a suspect. This person knows he/she won't stand a chance of spreading false rumors like this. As far as I know, MKII supports the standard FC frames and payload size of about 2k(minus FC header,frame delimiters). There is no base for his/her statements. Ask this person where he/she get that information. I would if I know how to get there.
