Looks like a very fine book. I may have to buy it. Did I ever mention to you that I once led the entire Rex Parade? Some alumnus did some politicking and got our college AF-ROTC band chosen to be at the front of the parade. But they needed a color guard, and I commanded that. So we were in front of the band. A bad place to be. Crowds surged around the bus with TV cameras on top and had to be herded away by two motorcycle cops who made their cycles backfire in our faces. Drunk women grabbed at us. A few times someone tried to trip us up. This went on for about five miles and over two hours. On top of all the other weirdness, it had SNOWED the night before. Rapidly melted, but we started out in slush.
