Bread can sit on the shelves for two weeks before turning moldy, and that's probably just the tip. -nfg-

I make my own bread and guess what ? It lasts for two weeks without going moldy -g- Not sure whats in the stuff your buying though. I use Rye and Spelt flour. I have white flour for sourdough but that is for special occasions only.

I forgot to put salt in the last batch, sure some of the flavour is lost but I might just keep it that way. The oatcakes are another matter. I keep a constant supply and eat as many as I like.
