Wow, you're actually making excuses for Baldwin's racist rant! Baldwin's a potentially violent racist jerk. Why cover for him just cause he's an arch-liberal?

Another northeastern white liberal explodes - threatened to shoot his son in front of his wife ... make excuses for that if you can:

CBS News Anchor Resigns After Choking and Threatening to Kill His Wife; Also Said He’d Shoot His Son

Posted by Jammie on Feb 20, 2013 at 12:07 pm

He’s leaving to spend more time with his family. Oh, wait…

WCBS-TV anchor Rob Morrison resigned from the station today on the heels of shocking charges that he choked his wife and then threatened to kill her while in Connecticut police custody, sources told The Post.

Yesterday, a shocking Connecticut police report revealed a dark, violent side of veteran local anchorman that has long been masked by his television veneer.

The WCBS/Channel 2 newsman drunkenly told cops on the day of his domestic violence arrest that he would kill his wife if they let him go — and he has previously threatened to murder their young son if she ever leaves him, according to the report obtained by The Post.

“I can’t go home tonight man, I’m f–king killing her!” a vodka-fueled Morrison, 44, slurred to a cop booking him Sunday for allegedly throttling his wife, Ashley, at their Darien home.

He also taunted his arresting officers, dubbing one cop “Sergeant Douchebag” and daring them to make his handcuffs tighter, the report says.

Ashley, 40, an anchor for “CBS Money,” bashed Morrison in the face with a remote control to stop him from choking her with both hands on the couch, cops said.

That’s how he ended up with a bloody gash on his nose in his mug shot.

The petite, 115-pound blonde was so “distressed, visibly shaken, and clearly in fear of her husband” that she refused to write out a statement against him, cops wrote. She also would not allow them to photograph red marks on her neck.

Ashley’s brother, Dr. Gregory Risk, told police that Morrison once threatened the couple’s 7-year-old son, Jack.

“G. Risk stated that in the past R. Morrison commented to him that if A. Morrison leaves him he would shoot their son in front of her and then shoot her,” police wrote.

Other than that he sounds like a great guy. Ah well, now that he’s no longer got a TV job, maybe he can return to his gig at the Puffington Host. BTW, here’s his Twitter feed.

Disgraced Alcoholic CBS Newsman Resigns Job, Goes and Gets Drunk

Posted by Jammie on Feb 21, 2013 at 7:25 am

If this tool wanted to maintain a low profile after being arrested for choking his wife, knocking down pints at Buffalo Wild Wings probably isn’t the best idea.

Veteran anchorman Rob Morrison resigned in shame from CBS yesterday over his drunken, wife-choking arrest — and then bellied up to a Connecticut bar to drown out his sorrows.

“I just lost my job today,” Morrison sighed to The Post inside a Buffalo Wild Wings saloon in Stamford, as he searched for answers at the bottom of a Bud Light pint. “I could not go on the air again,” lamented Morrison, 44, who was bending his elbow with a very shaky hand.

The disgraced “News at Noon” host downed at least three beers at the chain restaurant during happy hour. When asked if he is depressed — as wife Ashley told cops — Morrison said, “I see a psychiatrist once a week,” and added that he suffers from anxiety.

He left after 90 minutes with a takeout order of hot wings — and said he doubts he’ll ever be able to work in New York journalism again.

Buffalo Wild Wings has become Morrison’s favorite haunt since he posted $100,000 bail following Sunday’s arrest.

At the time, he agreed to “not use or possess an intoxicant or controlled substances,” court records show. His lawyer, Robert Skovgaard, claimed last night that the order was nullified by a judge’s bail order on Tuesday.

But staffers and customers at the restaurant said they saw Morrison on Sunday and Monday slugging back Jameson Irish Whiskey and Bud Light before the bail terms changed.

He was staying at a hotel across the street — since he’s barred from the million-dollar home he shares with Ashley.

As he sat with The Post yesterday, the handsome, longtime local newsman blamed Ashley, a “CBS Money” anchor, for allegedly striking the first blow during an argument early Sunday morning after they watched “Mystic Pizza.”

Maybe we need a ban on “Mystic Pizza,” lest anyone else gets beaten up. The arrest followed at least seven occasions when his wife called police after he abused her.

All of the other calls, including one that lead to a Morrison assault arrest, were made by Ashley. And most of those incidents involved drinking by Morrison, cops said.

“He was an ‘alky.’ He was a drunk. That’s probably his biggest problem,” said a staffer at the Morrisons’ former apartment building on the Upper West Side.

“The only odd thing about them was that she kept calling the cops all the time, and he kept coming back,” that staffer said.

Ashley, while talking to Darien cops, told them her “husband is on medication for depression, has attended AA [Alcoholics Anonymous] meetings, yet was consuming vodka earlier in the evening and became belligerent toward her.”

If his lawyer has any clue at all he gets this boob into rehab. More on his years of abuse here.

Disgraced TV anchorman Rob Morrison, 44, allegedly choked his wife so hard in a drunken attack last month that she nearly passed out, Connecticut cops disclosed on Thursday.

The alleged attack occurred on Jan. 14 at their home in Darien, Connecticut - a month prior to Sunday morning’s attack when Morrison also allegedly choked Ashley Morrison while in a drunken rage.

Morrison quit his $300,000-a-year anchor job at WCBS-TV on Wednesday after he posted $100,000 bail following Sunday’s arrest. After his resignation, Morrison was photographed drowning his sorrows at Buffalo Wild Wings, a bar in Stamford.

Happy family: Allegations have emerged that Rob Morrison choked his wife so hard that she nearly passed out in an attack a month before his arrest on Sunday

The Jan. 14 incident allegedly involved ex-Marine Morrison hurling his petite, 115-pound blonde wife to the floor, and then wrapping his right arm around her neck ‘until she reportedly almost passed out,’ according to the police report.

'A. Morrison explained that the "choking" occurred while she was facing the wall and R. Morrison was behind her with his right arm around her neck,' the report said.

The violence started as an argument over Ashley’s frustration that her husband had come home drunk the night before after dinner with friends.

She initiated a discussion about his behavior, but Morrison started to record their conversation with his iPhone. She complained, but he refused to stop taping, so she tried to grab the phone out of his hand.

That’s when he threw her to the ground, the report said.

‘She began hitting R. Morrison with the portable phone in the head in an attempt to get him to stop’ at which point the couple's nanny came downstairs, the report said.

Hours after resigning in shame, Rob Morrison could be heard telling patrons in a Stamford bar: 'I just lost my job today'

Denial: WCBS news anchorman Rob Morrison, left, with his attorney Robert Skovgaard, denies choking his wife

The couple’s live-in nanny walked in on the fight inside the $1.26 million home. The couple’s 7-year-old son told police he didn’t see any of the violence.

Police saw bruises on Ashley's arms from the alleged attack which they then photographed.

The police report, made public on Thursday, said the charges were dropped when Ashley Morrison, an anchor with CBS MoneyWatch, retracted her sworn written statement detailing the domestic violence.

Morrison however gave cops a very different version of the incident, he claims Ashley had flown into a ‘rage’ at him during an argument and that she struck him with the phone after they both ‘fell’ on the floor.

Morrison admitted to being ‘intoxicated’ during that incident, police wrote.

His mother-in-law meanwhile has spoken out about her daughter's marriage and has described Morrison as a serial spouse abuser with a 10-year history of brutality

Martha Risk said he had beaten wife Ashley 'for a decade' and 'could easily have killed her.' She said she was finally relieved that her daughter has finally escaped from the destructive marriage.

She said: 'This has gone on for too long... I’m so angry. There is no hope for this man.'

Police say they found red marks on the neck of Ashley Morrison, who anchors the CBS program Money Watch
New allegations have emerged that TV anchor Rob Morrison had beaten his wife prior to his arrest on Sunday

At around 1.30am on Sunday, Ms Risk received a phone call at her Indiana home from Morrison who she said was 'drunk as a skunk' to say that Ashley was 'out of control.'

She said this led her to be concerned for her daughter's safety so she called the police in Darien and said: 'He’s capable of anything. Get there now.'

'He calls me. He knows that I hate him. Why does he call me? I don’t know. He’s drunk,' she told the New York Daily News.

'You wonder when you are going to get another call, if it’s going to be the hospital. How bad is she hurt this time? You have such a horrible feeling in yourself... This has gone on for too long.'

Her son Gregory, an emergency room doctor in North Carolina, also received a late-night call from Morrison. He encouraged his mother to call the cops, telling her, 'We have to stop it now.'

Ms Risk branded Morrison a coward, and said: 'You see (him) hitting another man? (Ashley) weighs 110 pounds - let’s take her on. I’m so angry. There is no hope for this man.

'When you choke someone, you know how quick it is to tear a blood vessel? Within minutes, you can kill someone. It’s attempted murder.

'She’s beautiful. They have this beautiful home, a lovely child. But nobody really knows what goes on.

Sources say Rob Morrison's wife, Ashley, gave him the bleeding nose and swollen lip seen in this mug shot

'I don’t want a pound of flesh. I just want him away. I just want her to be happy. I’m doing something. He can’t hold her. You can’t let people hold you prisoner.'

Morrison, a former foreign correspondent who worked in Afghanistan and Haiti, claims that he called his mother-in-law Martha Risk 'in good faith' in the hope that she could help calm down his wife.

'I reached out to her mother in good faith looking for a level head in what was a chaotic situation and that's what I got in return,' he told the NY Daily News.

Morrison said tension between him and Ms Risk was 'not new.'

Ms Risk said Morrison has been abusing her daughter for a decade and her daughter was afraid to leave him. 'This doesn’t shock me. This has gone on for 10 years. I’m angry, so angry,' she said.

On Wednesday it was revealed that Morrison had been accused of cheating on his wife in 2008, which she claims led to his firing from NBC.

Morrison was living in Manhattan with his wife and working for NBC at the time of the alleged extramarital affair and he allowed his mistress, a coworker, to live at the couple's Long Island home.

Morrison denied the charge when confronted by Ashley, but she hired a private investigator who gathered incriminating evidence by bugging his car.

Ashley Morrison apparently sent a memo to NBC management about the romance and his contract was not renewed.

As for his most recent charges, Morrison said his arrest Sunday was preceded by an argument with his wife, which he described as the kind of disagreement that 'any family would have'.

It is rumored that Mrs Morrison hit him in the nose, sources say. Morrison said his nose was broken but refused to comment on whether his wife had hit him.

Morrison is alleged to have said following his arrest that he would murder his wife on his release from police custody. He denies this, describing the allegation as an 'absolute fabrication'.

CBS 2 anchor Rob Morrison resigned after being arrested on Sunday for allegedly threatened to kill his wife

WCBS bosses are said to be angry with Morrison who lied about why his face was bruised when he turned up for work on Monday.

Police have been called at least eight times to break up fights between Rob and Ashley Morrison, beginning in 2003. He was arrested once before, in 2009, though the court records from that case are sealed.

On New Year’s Eve in 2005, Ashley Morrison dialed 911 and reported that her husband was being emotionally abusive and 'screaming all the time,' the New York Daily News reports.

In July 2009, a fight broke out after Rob Morrison returned home drunk and started watching internet porn. It was after that encounter that Morrison was arrested - though no details of the case are available.

The Daily News reports that a source said Rob Morrison had struggled with anger problems and alcohol.

Morrison denied assaulting his wife while speaking to the media shortly before the hearing, where a judge ordered him to stay 100 yards from her.

'I did not choke my wife. I have never laid my hands on my wife,' he said. 'I was just as surprised by that particular charge as probably was everyone else whose heard about this story.'

Friends of the anchors called their relationship 'fine' and were shocked by the choking allegations, calling them 'bizarre'

'I love my wife more than anything. The past ten years she has been the most important person in my life. She's helped me through some really difficult times personally,' he added.

He did apologize to the Darien police who responded, the New York Post reported.

'I did not show them the respect they deserved. They were there to do a job, they're a fine department, they do a good job protecting the town in which I live and I sincerely apologize to them,' he said.

The local news anchor did not enter a plea at the hearing at Stamford Supreme Court before Judge Kenneth Povodator, the Darien News reported.

Povodator said Morrison cannot come within 100 yards of his wife except at work, where both work at CBS.

This weekend's incident reportedly was not Morrison's first run-in with police over domestic problems.

He was arrested in 2009 on Manhattan's Upper West Side for allegedly assaulting his wife, the Post said.

And police were called to his eight times between 2003 and 2009
, the New York Daily News said.

In four of those cases, Mrs Morrison told police her husband had been drinking. One time she said he was watching internet porn before they got into a fight.

Over the weekend, police arrested Morrison after Mrs Morrison's mother called to report a domestic incident at the couple's Hollow Tree Ridge home at 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
During the Jan. 14 incident ex-Marine Morrison allegedly hurled his petite, 115-pound blonde wife to the floor, and then wrapping his right arm around her neck 'until she reportedly almost passed out'

'Upon arrival, it was ascertained that Morrison had been becoming increasingly belligerent toward his wife during the course of the evening, culminating in his choking her by the neck with both hands,' read a Darien police press release.

'Officers did observe red marks on the victim's neck consistent with this allegation.'

As Morrison was being processed, he 'made verbal threats to do his wife additional harm, which were overheard by the arresting officers,' police said.

Mrs Morrison did not request medical attention.

He was charged with felony strangulation in the second degree, misdemeanor threatening in the second degree, and disorderly conduct.

He posted $100,000 bond and is due back in court on March 26.

On Monday the couple released a joint statement dismissing the allegations as 'greatly exaggerated.'

Morrison, 44, anchors CBS 3 News 'This Morning' and 'News at Noon.'

Previously he worked at NBC 4, and is a former Marine. Between working for the two stations he wrote a blog for the Huffington Post called 'Daddy Diaries: Confessions of a Stay-at-Home Anchorman.'

As a foreign correspondent, he reported from Iraq, Afghanistan and Haiti.

Channel 2 news declined comment on the incident, calling it a 'personal matter'

Mrs Morrison anchors CBS MoneyWatch.

Though the couple is downplaying the incident, a mug shot posted by the Darien Times depicts Morrison with blood running down his nose and a bruised, swelling lip.

Quoting a source close to the incident, the Daily News reports those injuries were given to him by Mrs Morrison during their quarrel.

He did not appear on the news on Monday.

However another relative, speaking only on condition of anonymity, said the couple's relationship was 'fine' and called the choking claims 'bizarre.'

A statement from Morrison's attorney, Robert Skovgaard, also said the incident was being blown out of proportion.

'Rob and Ashley Morrison are cooperating fully with the authorities to insure that all of the information necessary to properly evaluate this unfortunate incident is made available,' Skovgaard wrote.

'The Morrisons are confident that a full review of this matter will show that the allegations have been greatly exaggerated. While this matter is being addressed, Rob and Ashley hope that their family’s privacy will be respected.'

A CBS 2 spokeswoman declined comment, saying the case was a 'personal matter.'

President Jacka$$… Obama Says Helping Rich Only Thing That ‘Binds’ GOP Together
Posted by Jim Hoft on Thursday, February 21, 2013, 4:32 PM
He’s a uniter.

What a hateful jerk.
Barack Obama today told race-hustler Al Sharpton that helping the rich was the only thing that binds the GOP together.
The Politico reported:

President Obama, speaking to a very friendly Al Sharpton as part of a round with black broadcasters Thursday, offered a harsh assessment of the GOP — arguing that their opposition to taxing the wealthy was the only thing keeping an otherwise deeply divided party from falling apart.

For the record… REPUBLICANS ARE THE PARTY OF AMERICA’S WORKING MIDDLE CLASS – In the 2012 election, Mitt Romney picked up a majority of working class Americans – while Obama continues to destroy the middle class.
