Ha. Yeah, options. Gentlemen, I've got no issue with a general discussion here of options and how they may or may not assist, substitute for, or enhance a value portfolio. If someone feels they just have to inform or remind us they are playing a specific value proposition (value stock) by using options...okay, reluctantly. Just don't lead us or invite us to discuss the specifics of the option play(s) on the thread. That is, "XYZ option is now cheap. I'm buying it" would be unacceptable. "XYZ stock is cheap. I'm playing the option." is marginal because it can invite/lead to comments on the particular option play(s). "XYZ stock is cheap. I'm playing it with options. Pm me if you want details" is okay.

As moderator, my intent is to try to maintain the focus of the thread that we've had over the past 15 years (value stocks!). I don't want to discourage posts that might benefit some readers, e.g. value players who are also or primarily(?) options buyers/sellers here, and it seems to me, what I'm asking regarding options is reasonable. And please remember, even though my attitude might be 20th century fuddy-duddy (:>) - this thread through the consistent way participants (not just me) have maintained it - has been very successful since Mike Burry started it. (Or so I would like to believe anyway). -g-
