And even if they did believe everything that conservatives attribute to them, why would you dogmatically believe that everything that someone commenting on his observations of 18th century economics applies to those of the 21st century?

It's simple. Because they work better in advancing human progress than those 20th century utopian ideals that you so dogmatically believe in.
