The great law "when in Rome do as the Romans do" applies here. If everyone else is stupid as hell I figure I better daytrade and ride some bull coatails for awhile. This market doesnt reward those who think at the moment, its a market for the blindless fools...yehaaaww ridem cowboy!!

If you are over 30 thats your problem. A few months ago I read that the leading fund managers were by and large under 30. A few days ago I saw a reference to the fact that the average age of mutual fund managers is 28. It appears that the leaders of brokerage and mutual fund institutions have totally abdicated (with their perspective, knowledge, and any sense of responsibility) to youth. Why? They would be quaking in their boots or already dead of heart attacks watching this market closely. They have to go with it because its been working but they don't want to be personnally involved. Who but under 30 could keep keeping a fund fully invested?

Major article in WSJ yesterday was about record and totally unprecedented bonuses on Wall Street (millions here and millions there, it adds up). Its possible this rally will be kept going through early Jan to maximize these bonuses (which seemed assured in August and then seemed lost in October). Perhaps a lot of Wall Streeters are looking at bonuses one could retire on (even at 28). Which might not be a bad idea!!

DJF--addendum to my last post.

While the average age of mutual fund managers is reported to be 28, informal surveys report that 90% of people investing in mutual funds SAY they would not invest in a mutual fund managed by anyone under 30!!

You have to pick your bear pits more carefully. The only thing bullish is the indexes. I haven't lost any money being a bear.
