<<<Just what am I implying that is so "delusional" to you? >>>

You are implying that dems are equally to be blamed for not arriving at some sort of compromise when more than 90 % of reps in Congress have clearly stated that they will do everything possible to ensure Obama fails .

"That both sides need to work together to find a solution that can get passed through Congress?"

Steve, ONE side, the (R) side, refuses to compromise, to negotiate. That's what isn't working. Any solution should be a mix of tax hikes and spending cuts. If the (R)'s WANTED to make any progress, they say, "We want this spending cut - and specify it", then the (D)'s could say, "Ok, we want this tax hike or deduction eliminated - in that way, progress could be made. You keep at it until everyone is unhappy, but you've made progress.

The (R)'s won't DO that, the country KNOWS it, and the (R)'s will get the blame for the consequences. Boehner KNOWS how to do it, he just has a House that he doesn't control. A rabble.
