There are a number of premium calculators that are out there.

This one is from California that was made available last week. I use it for estimation purposes.

Plug in these numbers 2, 55000, 50 and You should get numbers like this

Estimated monthly premium (without subsidy) 1435
Estimated tax credit from the government 1000
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your estimated monthly premium 435

My reference to 70K is Schedule C income... from there, I subtract deductions and 401K contributions and then add income from the portfolio.

So, all I have to do is keep my MAGI below 60,000 and all is very well.

And Just for fun, set your income to 63000.
