What you wingers never seem to get through your head is that education of the populace strengthens society. There is no way you can put more into education than you will get out with an educated populace. Pre school is said to give back 7 to 1 for every dollar spent in increased productivity and lower crime. It is your thinking. You RWers always worry about someone might get a free lunch and beat you out fo a dime. Ok, so a few do that. Who cares, most will simply get smarter and smarter and help society. Want to see how well it works. Look at Denmark or most any Scandinavian country. They are all happier and healthier than we are and have few rich or poor but a very well to do middle class. You selfish and paranoid dudes drive me nuts-lol. I deal with you guys every day in my job. And I make six figures a year and would happily pay for the extra social security costs and higher taxes. I still work full time and give a lot of my money away to the kids and others who need it. I like doing that. Sort of the same pleasure I get from feeding the birds during a hard winter-lol. It is called compassion and humanity. Try it some time. << really like this one. Free means everything is paid for... lodging, tuition, health insurance, food... all the things needed to get a good, healthy education. I could see myself spending the next 50 years working on my BioInformatics Phd. Just send the bill to that young guy over there please. And I agree with you Koan about those 90% income tax rates. I won't be making over $100K salary anymore. So lets have the income tax rates raised to 90% on all income over $100K... just like the 50's.
