This is a he said, she said question. If I asked you the same question for the bush tax cuts you'd say that they increased revenue and therefore paid for themselves...that would not be true, as the the evidence shows...the stimulus on the other hand was followed by a sharp turn around in jobs lost and economic activity...so if we are to follow the data following the stimulus we'd conclude that it paid for itself times over.

I agree there is no point in going over it, but that is principally because you are continually changing the subject. Tax cuts are not spending and the Left is continually conflating the two as though they're the same thing.

Tax cuts don't HAVE to "pay for themselves". There must be some justification for taxes to exist in the first place as they have a cost, but not to the federal government. They have a macroeconomic cost.

The 03 Bush tax cuts did cause an increase in government revenue. There is not any doubt about this. But it really is irrelevant in the discussion about Obama's unconstrained spending which has been a total waste of money in many instances -- from the Stimulus to the upcoming massive cost of Obamacare as the best health care system in the world deteriorates as a result of it.

There literally is not one economic decision Obama has made that one could say has been correct. Not one. And that is a tragic record for a president heading into his fifth year.

Dave still believes we "won" something in the totally unnecessary Iraq invasion and war. He's completely delusional.
