It was an awful comparison anyway since what Madoff did was illegal. .........SS will get paid I have no fear - that isn't what this is all about and if people such as Mary don't get the point I was trying to make - that SS money has now been swallowed up to fight a couple of wars and in general fund the federal government, then they can go on borrowing yet more money and letting our kids pay off the debt. If she is fine with that great - I'm not. Those such as myself who are democrat, republican and Libertarians and Independants just have a different read on the debt issue. If allllllll those people are indeed my friends as Mary claims - well then I'll accept that.
