The Japanese population is so old, more adult diapers are sold than baby diapers!


It's no secret that the Japanese population is slowly aging on average. Low birth rates combined with long life expectancies means that soon the Japanese economy might not be able to sustain its aging population. Perhaps a sign of things to come is that adult diapers exceeded the sales of baby diapers.

The Japanese economy has been struggling for the past 20 years. They had some big financial bubbles burst that have made the Japanese economy struggle for so long. To make matters worse, the value of the Yen has remained pretty strong. You'd think this was good, but it has actually crippled their exports, which hasn't helped their economy get out of the global recession.
