I only like gold equities that pay a dividend, and I enjoy shorting puts of fnv and slw. Gold equities that do not pay just atrophy away And if one seriously allocates to gold mine equity, best to be positioned to strongly influence the company, or better still, control it, and it best be in a reasonable private-property-protected domain. Should s&p 'correct' 50%, gold equity may correct same, or even more. In the sorry end large gold shares paying dividends should do okay, especially if income-enhanced by option trading premium.
