I got more at $5.50! I don't know when this will stop. Re: Margin on VLNC - Well, I am now. Portfolio swings have been pretty depressing. Glad to have some PETM at $6.50 (now at $7.50).

I also find it interesting that during the first hour and a half of trading, of about 250,000 shares, there was only 1 large block trade! The volume would seem to indicate that everyone's dumping, but apparently, not the big boys. Also, this block trade just showed up around the $5.25 range, so it probably was a buy, especially since it's on a small rally to $5.50. This indicates to me that the big boys aren't selling, but are in fact picking up the pieces being strewn about by the little guys selling under margin or limit. I hope all of you "little guys" have held firm. With the # of shares I've picked up recently, the next trade I make may be a block trade! Anyone know what classifies as a block trade, per Stocksmart?

Also, I've always thought that a higher bid volume (vs ask) was bullish, meaning that more people were buying than selling, or at least in higher block increments. But, now that I think about it, wouldn't a higher ask be better as it means that larger blocks are going through at the ask (or what one has to pay to buy a stock) than sell it (bid). Since the bid price is lower than the ask, it would imply sell price, vs the buy price, which is the ask. (I think I'm getting a little dissy in light of today's VLNC price movement.)

Oh well, hang in there all.

John - a tick chart at the moment shows a bottom. The slide stopped with an 8500 share buy 5 5/16 at 10:19:38.

Looking out longer term, we are as oversold here as we were overbought at 10.

It also is interesting to note that this resembles last Dec. - irrational end of year selling... let's hope for the strong buying in January.

regards, matt
