NiSource Inc. (NI)

This one may have been on my watch list but I have never owned it. They seem to be fairly valued now w/ a 3.5% dividend (I like 4% or above), Their PE is still high around 20 but their forward PE at 16.7 is ok. I like 14 or less but will pay up to 17 if they own some good NG assets that can help grow the company.

The nice thing for NI is their steady growth since the 2009 crash where the stock hit $8.00/share.

My two utility plays are GAS and MDU. I am also trying to buy D. All seem to be priced at the upper end of the value range. I am holding off on any significant buys until some correction.

Way to stay w/ NI. It seems like a good core position to own. D still tops my list because of their licensed LNG terminal but it's so huge (4x larger than NI and 8x larger than GAS & MDU) that their NG revenues hardly budge the needle UNLESS they spin some of those NG assets off.

I have added NI to my watch lists as this one fits my NG infrastructure theme and could be part of my basket of companies.
