>> Bush is the forgotten Republican president.

I find it a positive quality that Bush has chosen, unlike any Democrat president I can remember, to stay out of the political arena while his successor is office.

It reflects a level of professionalism and self-confidence that is sorely missing from most politicians these days.

Some would even say "greatness".

Bentway,
The only president to come back from a broken America as bad as Bush broke it was FDR, and it took him FOUR terms!
Nonsense. We did not go through a "second Great Depression." Unemployment never reached 25%, and people never had to worry about "a chicken in every pot." Obesity is still a greater concern than hunger in this nation. Everyone has PCs, smartphones, Internet access, etc. Even the poor.

Besides, I don't ever recall FDR blaming Hoover for supposedly taking four terms to fix the Great Depression. Nor do I remember FDR only relying on his campaigning skills to get the country through it.

Obama is no FDR, no matter how many times people like you try to make him out to be.

FDR put the Great in the Depression. Waged war on American business, sort of like Obama.
