Message 2874572

Looks like CP sales have slowed so we'll NEVER sell that 11 millionth Zip and we're gonna miss the quarter and IOM will be lucky to stay above $3!

And did anyone notice that Truff, Linda and Gary haven't posted for a while? i bet they went short this morning<G>

<<I ordered a few at 30 3/4 and E*TRADE partially filled my order 100 shares at a time -- I had neglected to specify All Or Nothing. $19.95 + $19.95 + $19.95 ... you get the picture.>>

I can't believe they are going to charge you a full commission for each part of the partial fill! All of the executions happened on the same day, on the same stock, in the same direction (buy long), and resulted from the same order. There is NO WAY they should charge you more than one commission.

If you take this up with a live person, and they don't adjust this and then repair the software, you ought to move your money somewhere else, like Waterhouse.

Best wishes,
John

*OT* Well, cross E*Trade off the list... Currently leaning towards
Ameritrade. Any opinions (e-mail if possible, so as to not
clutter up the thread)...?

FIDO,
E*trade has given me partial fills and charged
me only one commission.

Fido, Last year when I used Etrade, they only charged once for all partial fills in one day. Did they change that, or did you get the fills over 2 days?

And don't forget that "all or none" makes it a special order at the bottom of the heap. So you probably wouldn't get filled unless it went 1/8 lower than your price.

FIDO,
I use E-Trade and when I get partial fills they only charge one commission for the order, although it hasn't happened in about 2 months. I certainly hope they haven't changed that policy.
